Heritage Reconstruction Work

The Lodge Stirling Heritage Fireplace Marbling Reconstruction

In 2006, master painter, decorator and artisan “Gary Lancaster” reproduced the original faux (fake) marble finish to the fireplaces in “The Lodge” at Stirling in the Adelaide Hills. Locally heritage listed, it was originally the Ayer’s House Gatekeeper’s summer residence. The fireplaces were stripped to reveal the original faux (fake) marble finish underneath. Gary Lancaster successfully analysed the colours to reproduce the original marble finish in design and colour. In January 2016, Gary performed exterior heritage repaint work to “The Lodge” using super premium quality paint and materials.
