Lancaster Painters Australia regard preparation as the most important aspect of any commercial heritage painting project. Our professional heritage services include sensitive paint scrapings, colour matching, safe lead paint testing and removal, moisture testing, and somuch more.
We ensure surfaces are thoroughly prepared before applying the coating systems. Cracks, from minor hair-line cracks up to major structural cracking are filled using the correct materials. For major cracks this may involve sand, lime and cement or even plastering. All surfaces are rubbed down and dusted off, and in some cases, may require washing down. We recommend a minimum of a three coat paint system using only the correct type of super premium quality paint, performing all work to the Australian Industry Standards. About Us
With full apprenticeship qualifications and Certificate III in Painting and Decorating, Lancaster Painters Australia are fully licensed in South Australia. Our insurances include accident insurance and 20 million dollars of public liability. All work is performed to the Australian Industry Standards by following the AS/NZ 2311:2009 specification on substrate preparation and application of the coating system, and the Master Painters Association Industry Standard for the Surface Coating Industry. Certificates of Practical Completion are supplied throughout all stages of the work. We operate using Safe Work Methods and Environmental Management.
With 49 years of experience – owner, director and professional painter and decorator Gary Lancaster is fully trained as Responsible Officer and holds a Senior First Aid Certificate and a National Police Certificate. All our workers have White Cards. Further training has been achieved by completing the accredited 22002VIC course in Sustainable Painting Practices and the accredited Safe Lead and Asbestos Management course CPCCPD3011A. We are licensed to perform high risk work and are fully accredited and licensed to erect steel and mobile scaffold over four metres up to thirty eight metres as well as elevated platforms, static lines and safety nets.
